Richard - Owner
Like my wife Lisa I had a try dive in 2017 and got the buzz of being underwater. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t tried it sooner! I was only on my third dive ever on my Open Water course and I made a statement “I want a Dive Centre”... a mad pipe dream at the time. But that bug has grown over the years of diving in various countries and meeting and making great friends in a fabulous community that is Scuba Diving.
I am now very fortunate to have bought that original dream to life by opening Sirens Dive Centre in 2020 here in Cyprus with my wife Lisa, and with amazing help and support from Dawn and Norman who still help out when required. We have now grown, and in our fourth season and have added more incredible, passionate team members in Jody our Master Instructor, Shaun Staff Instructor and Leo a Dive Master. The whole team share our obsession to bring diving and the sea to others of all ages. We hope you join us and get bitten by the Scuba bug!
Lisa - Owner
I hated the sea, never ventured in further than knee deep. Then had a try dive in Mexico in 2017, followed by a DSD in Cyprus later that year. Unfortunately I had problems with my ears (couldn’t equalise) so couldn’t carry on.
Richard, my husband, did his OWD then AOWD and for the next 18 months and various holidays I sat on the boat/beach while Richard dived. We took our youngest two children to Egypt, they did a DSD and loved it. On our next family holiday the kids wanted to do their OWD, so after much deliberation I decided if you can’t beat them, join them. I bought a mask especially for ear problems and away I went.
Along with the kids I passed my OWD the day after my 51st birthday. Richard had wanted a dive centre since he first tried diving, I was starting to feel the same. I say you're never too old for a new adventure.....and last year I became an Assistant Instructor ... HAPPY BUBBLES!
Jody - Master Instructor
Hey I am Jody Freshwater, I am a Padi Master Instructor and full Tec instructor here at Sirens.
I have been diving all my life and have been a PADI professional for 25 years this season! I am also the Zenobia wreck specialist.
So looking forward to diving with you all soon!
Shaun - Staff Instructor

I like to introduce people to the underwater world, put smiles on their faces and hopefully help them to continue this new adventure.
Kim - Master Scuba Diver Trainer
Hi, I'm Kim. I have now a bit more than 1,000 logged dives. It will be my pleasure to help you Discover Scuba Diving, or to teach you the skills for diving and get you certified - or if a certified diver, to show you the wrecks and dive sites of this Mediterranian paradise called Cyprus!
Besides diving I work as a translator for PADI Worldwide. I speak English, German and Danish.
Leo - Divemaster
A PADI Dive Master/SSI Tech Diver who has been diving worldwide for over 20 years. Army Veteran serving 25 years in the Royal Artillery.
Keen in photography both underwater and on land, love tattoos, rock music and ride a motorbike.
Dawn - Instructor
Dawn went from a nervous swimmer to certified diver in 2008, and PADI Instructor in 2015 with now over 1,000 dives under her weight belt.
She has oodles of patience and loves nothing more than sharing her love of the undersea world and its wonderful creatures with as many people as possible.
Her favourite part of each day is when divers surface with a big, beaming smile and say, “Wow!” then she knows her work is done!
Norman - Divemaster and Photographer
Norman has been a certified diver since 2006. After many years of resisting going pro, in 2019 he took the plunge and qualified as a PADI Divemaster.
He loves underwater photography - especially the macro shots - and being able to share his joy of the world below the surface of the sea, creating memories to be enjoyed by all.
